can i please take one moment to rant about those bloody always adverts?
a happy period?! happy period MY ARSE! i have never, in 14 years, experienced anything vaguely resembling a happy period. 'happy period' practically defines oxymoron in my eyes. morons indeed. i bet all their advertising execs are men.

Ohmygod, I every time I see one of those advert I have a huge rant to who ever is around. It's ridiculous! There is nothing happy about periods, at all. |

In Australia we have an awesome drug called Naprogesic. It is a NSAID like ibuprofen but I found it much better. I tried to find in the UK while I was there but apparently that brand name is Australian.
I just went looking to see if you have a UK equivalent though and found 'Feminax Ultra' which was apparently only brought out this year in the UK. So my suggestion is to try that. It even recommends taking it the day before your period if you are regular and know you will get pain.
edit: take only as directed and see your health care professional if symptoms persist _________________

I concur - Naprogesic is da bomb !!!!!! heat packs are always a good bet - otherwise a bex and a good lie down....... or a stiff drink !!!!
and as for the tampon ads - heres the latest oz offering ...........just pushing the boundaries way too far IMHO.......

Feminax is temperamental I've found. Some periods it works brilliantly and others it doesn't seem to touch it. _________________

| I gotta ask... Does anyone else often get sick when you get your period? Because I do, coming down with a cold or the flu just before or after I come on. Not every time or so, but often enough that you start noticing a pattern. I don't know if my immune system gets weaker around that time or what. |

I know!! But I can't take Ibuprofen. My Asthma reacts with it.
I've got such cramp at the moment, but i'm not even due on, I'm going to go mad if I come on, AGAIN. I was on for nearly three weeks!! like a week and a half ago! _________________ ...Lips Of An Angel...♫ |
